How Our Interfaces Work
We specialize in “quasi-interfaces,” which allow currency scanners, coin sorters, bill and coin dispensers and recyclers to be used in an online environment with your teller application. Unlike an “integrated” teller app driver for the peripheral equipment, there is no true connection between our interface and the teller app. The teller app isn’t even aware that our interface exists. Through the use of versatile setup utilities, our interfaces can be reconfigured on-site to match input and output criteria for your specific teller platform. We also use a “known target platform” approach with some of our products – once we have gathered a set of input/output criteria for a particular teller app, we add that criteria to our install CD. You choose your teller app name from a list when installing the software, and then start using the interface immediately.
Teller interaction with our interfaces is purposely kept to a minimum. For our cash dispensing systems, this is usually limited to pressing a single “hotkey” to dispense cash. For many teller apps, a special “Activator” mode can be used which dispenses the cash automatically, when the teller has accepted the transaction – no hotkey needed.
Our DynaCash™ dispensing interface gathers text from the teller app screen and makes decisions to dispense cash or not based on “trigger” phrases and amounts in that text. The presence of a phrase like “Cash Back: 550.25” will trigger a dispense for $550.25.
Our Line Monitoring system dispenses cash automatically by “listening in on” data being printed to the teller workstation slip printer. The presence of a phrase such as “Cash Out 13.75” on the printed slip or receipt triggers a dispense for $13.75.
In the case of our currency scanner interfaces, pressing a button on the scanner populates the teller app Cash In window with the counts. This could fill a list by denomination or a lump sum entry, depending on how the interface is configured.
